In a dreary realm of make believe
A deadly tale was born
The story whispered in the winds of the trees
The tale for the world to see
In the distance a queen sat alone
Upon her dead husbands throne
Dead from grief lost was she
Wanting nothing more than to find
The love that had graced thee
But the years had came stealing her perfected youth
Showing her the ghastly truth
She opened a door and peered inside
A reflection in a mirror caught her eye
Faded color from her cheeks
Streaks of white faded her ebony glow and she screamed for the world to know
At this time chance played its game
Slowly the mirror spoke to the queen in vain
Long to live does this maiden I see
Her skin of white hair of ebony
Kill her and you will be the most beautiful lady
The queen stirred and said in reply
There is no fairer lady than I
My beauty astounds every human and immortal eye
No I cannot commit this crime
Slowly she turned but the mirror spoke
Time has changed now everyone see’s
Snow white is the fairest maiden
Fairer than thee.
Red in her eyes did she see
The words bit her like the snake from Eden tree
Your soul is wicked this I can see
You’ll do anything for immortal beauty
The queen grabbed the mirror in rage
If I smash you your words will go away
That may be but even so my words will haunt your soul
Forever they will linger in your mind
Until the midnight hour strikes you’ll be lost in time
And hence come the time of your deathbed they will see the hideous creature you came to be.
The queen cried in despair
To be beautiful she could kill the lady fair
When the moon is at its brightest send forth your slave. Tell him to chase her out with his perverted ways.
Stab her till she’s cold as death
Till her tiny lips breathe their last breathe
Eat her heart and you will see your beauty will be everlasting
